Welcome back to the Sean Lowery Show! This is episode 106 featuring USC Quarterback, Mo Hasan. Mo received his bachelor’s degree in economics and history from Vanderbilt in 2020 and is working on a master’s degree in entrepreneurship and innovation at USC with a 3.28 GPA. He has a college football podcast, Momentum. While at Vanderbilt, he founded Second Spoon, a not-for-profit organization that distributes extra food from the student-athletes training table to the less fortunate communities in Nashville and Miami through the Hunger ReliefMobile (a converted FedEx truck). His real first name is Anthony. His father, Anthony, ran track at Florida. He spent the 2018 and 2019 seasons at Vanderbilt. As a junior in 2019, he started in a win against No. 21 Missouri (his only appearance of the season) and completed 7-of-11 passes (63.6%) for 120 yards and a TD, plus added 34 yards on 9 carries (3.8 avg) before suffering a season-ending injury. As a sophomore in 2018, he completed 4-of-6 passes (66.7%) for 38 yards and also ran for 45 yards on 7 carries (6.4 avg) while appearing in 5 games. Mo went to USC in the fall of 2020 as a graduate transfer from Vanderbilt and was eligible to play immediately, did not see any action as a backup graduate quarterback in 2020. He injured his leg prior to the Arizona game and was sidelined for the next 4 contests. Hasan was likely going to be the backup quarterback job as a senior in 2021, but he tore knee ligaments in 2021 spring practice and had surgery, so he will miss the 2021 season. Follow Mo!
